Sure, Republicans and Democrats have fought in recent weeks, over guns, sex ed, civil unions and other issues but the reality is much of the work at Colorado’s Capitol gets done in a bipartisan fashion.

Bill protecting military family relief signed into law
A bill to ensure that the financial aid Colorado’s military families receive from the military family relief fund remains tax free was signed into law today. House Bill 1024 was sponsored by Reps. Dan Nordberg, R-Colorado Springs, and Jovan Melton, D-Aurora.
Bill to help expand child care services signed into law
A bill that makes it easier for child care providers was signed into law earlier today. House Bill 1084, sponsored by state Rep. Brian DelGrosso, R-Loveland, and Sen. Linda Newell, D-Littleton, eliminates unnecessary licensing fees and was re-passed by the House today after being amended by the Senate.
Statewide victim notification system clears House committee
A bipartisan bill to fund Colorado’s statewide victim notification system cleared the House Local Government Committee today. House Bill 1241 was sponsored by state Reps. Bob Gardner, R-Colorado Springs, and Rhonda Fields, D-Aurora.
