John Hickenlooper will be on CBS’ Face the Nation Sunday to talk about how the “sequester” — $109 billion in automatic federal spending cuts to kick in March 1 — will hurt Colorado.
He will appear with Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley and Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, according to the CBS News website, which just posted guests this afternoon.
Hickenlooper will be in Washington all weekend for the National Governor’s Association conference.
Colorado stands to lose $67.9 million in federal funds over a year should the sequester take place in eight days.
Congress is in a recess this week. Both the Senate and the House are expected to take on the issue next week.
