The Colorado Municipal League reports that 10 municipalities held electionsTuesday. Among the results:
Grand Junction voters narrowly defeated a de-brucing measure and overturned a zoning decision of city council. Incumbent council members, including former Policy Committee Chair Tom Kenyon, were defeated.
In Colorado Springs, incumbents also were defeated. Former state lawmaker Keith King was elected to a city council seat. A measure to increase the council’s salary was overwhelmingly defeated. A measure to allow more flexibility in spending certain earmarked dollars for parks maintenance was approved.
Craig Mayor Terry Carwile was re-elected.
Fort Collins Mayor Karen Weitkunat was re-elected.
A special election will be held in Dacono on medical marijuana facilities.
Aspen and Gunnison will hold their regular elections in May, and Mountain Village will hold its election in June.
Ridgway canceled its election.
